Job Summary:

Position Summary:

  • Help the MMU Controller manage and operate the mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck) to meet customer needs, following AECI's standards and procedures.
  • Help the MMU Controller perform regular inspections of the plant and MMUs to check for any issues, fix problems, and make improvements.
  • Help with all blasting tasks, like measuring holes, sealing charged holes, guarding, and cleaning.

  • Keep the wash bay and truck park clean.
  • Keep the trucks clean.
  • Load and unload products into trucks.
  • Help with charging tasks on the workbench.
  • Help seal or close charged holes.

Loading and Unloading Packaged Explosives and Accessories

  • Wear Safety Gear: Always wear gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
  • Check Explosives: Make sure the explosives are not damaged or leaking.
  • Clear the Area: Keep people and flammable materials away from the work area.
  • Only Trained Workers: Only trained people should handle explosives.

Loading Explosives:

  • Make sure the vehicle is safe to carry explosives.
  • Handle the explosives gently, don’t drop them.
  • Secure the explosives in the vehicle so they don’t move.
  • Keep safety documents with the explosives.

Transporting Explosives:

  • Plan a safe route with little traffic.
  • Drive slowly and carefully.

Unloading Explosives:
