About the Company
Our client is a well-established logistics company operating 24/7 in the transport and supply chain industry. They are seeking a dedicated Call Centre Operator to monitor trucks, handle emergencies, and ensure smooth operations across the fleet.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (required)
- Logistics or Transport Management diploma (advantage)
- 2-3 years’ experience in logistics call centre or fleet control
- Must speak English (Afrikaans and other local languages are a plus)
- Willing to work weekends, night shifts, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and log breakdown calls from truck drivers
- Coordinate truck repairs with dealers or service providers
- Authorize diesel refuels and record litres, kms, and times
- Monitor vehicle routes and detect deviations or emergencies
- Handle accident or hijacking reports with urgency
- Communicate with Fleet Controllers and management
- Capture loading/offloading details (client, location, time, mass)
- Ensure drivers follow sleep plans and route schedules
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report issues
