Chief Safety Officer – 18-Month Contract

Key Responsibilities
- Create and carry out safety management plans and procedures tailored to the project.
- Ensure compliance with mining and construction safety legislation
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments regularly
- Lead incident investigations and apply corrective actions
- Coordinate training and awareness programs for safety
- Monitor contractor safety and enforce protocols
- Report incidents and liaise with regulatory authorities
- Promote a proactive safety culture on-site
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Safety Management National Diploma or Degree or a Similar Programme
- Registered with SACPCMP as HSE or Safety Manager
- Certified in HIRA, Incident Investigations, Legal Liability
- At least 10 years of experience in construction safety
- Understanding of the OHS Act and the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Valid South African Driver’s License
