Job Overview
The IT Administrative Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the IT Department by managing financial admin, procurement, and IT asset tracking. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in fast-paced retail or IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile supplier accounts and monthly statements
- Prepare payment packs and documentation for sign-off
- Liaise with Finance for timely payment schedules
- Follow up on invoices and supplier queries
- Source prices and create Purchase Orders (POs)
- Track and record IT purchases and approvals
- Maintain IT asset register and track equipment movement
- Coordinate equipment allocation and returns
- Maintain filing systems and vendor contact lists
Job Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (Required)
- Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Finance, or Administration (Preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in administrative or bookkeeping roles
- Experience in IT or procurement environments is an advantage
- Good understanding of account reconciliations and purchasing processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and admin tools
