About the Learnership

This is a structured training programme combining practical on-site work and technical classes. The goal is to qualify as a certified electrician in the mining industry.

Available Position:

• Electrical Engineering Learnership (Electrician)

Eligible Communities:

Applicants must live in one of the following host communities:

• Bekkersdaal
• Zuurberkom
• Thusanang
• Hillshaven
• Westonaria
• Poortjie
• Simunye
• Kalbasfontein
• Jachtfontein

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science
• N3 Certificate with 4 subjects:
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Electrical Trade Theory
  • Industrial Electronics
• Be declared medically fit and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend technical and practical training as per MQA requirements
• Participate in safety and skill-building short courses
• Follow all mine safety and operational rules
• Work as a team member and support other learners
• Wear required PPE at all times during training and on-site
