Job Overview
This is a great opportunity for individuals with technical knowledge in the automotive industry. MA Automotive Tool and Die is looking for a reliable Artisan Assistant to join their team in East London.
Primary Purpose of the Job
Assist with repairs and maintenance on press machinery to meet quality standards required by the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Help repair and maintain press machinery.
- Support preventative maintenance tasks as per schedule.
- Fill in time sheets with accurate data and submit to the Team Leader.
- Follow all company procedures and quality systems.
- Take part in the department’s mini business activities.
- Follow SHEQ procedures and work instructions.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Basic technical techniques
- Understanding of press machinery maintenance
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Basic understanding of quality systems
- Basic welding skills
- Good communication
- Problem-solving ability
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Fitter Assistant in the automotive industry
