The Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) is now accepting applications for its 2026 bursary programme, designed to support students who need financial assistance to complete their studies.
What the Bursary Is About
IMESA offers bursaries to support full-time students studying Civil Engineering. In some cases, other engineering disciplines may be considered at the discretion of IMESA’s Executive Council. The bursary covers tuition fees and books for the next year of study and is paid directly to the educational institution.
A mentor is assigned to each student, and successful applicants are encouraged to take part in IMESA activities during their studies.

- Applicants must have completed and passed their mid-year exams.

Skills Requirements
- Academic performance: Mid-year exam results must be submitted.
- Genuine financial need (priority given to students who cannot afford tuition).
- Commitment to full-time study and participation in IMESA initiatives.
Benefits
