As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the mine’s information systems, network infrastructure, security, and IT support. You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring IT systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.
Who Should Apply
This position is ideal for IT professionals with a strong technical background and a passion for infrastructure, systems management, and cybersecurity. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- National Diploma in IT with professional registration
- 3 years experience as an IT Administrator and 5 years as an IT Technician
- Valid Code 08 (B) Driver’s License
- Backup-related certificate (Rubrik, Veeam, or Windows Server Backup)
- Advantageous: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain network infrastructure
- Manage IT systems, including backups and disaster recovery
- Oversee network security and IT policies
- Handle incident and problem resolution across IT systems
- Manage the IT hardware and software lifecycle
- Prepare performance reports and suggest improvements
Skills Requirements
- Strong understanding of networks (LAN/WAN)
- Ability to work with firewalls and endpoint protection
- Microsoft and cloud server management skills
- Experience with IT asset procurement and maintenance
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation and reporting abilities
