About the Role
Hire Resolve is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated student or recent graduate to join a leading auditing and financial firm in Wynberg, Cape Town through a SAIPA Learnership. This structured training programme is designed to help aspiring accountants gain practical work experience while completing their SAIPA articles and building a successful career in accounting and auditing.
Responsibilities
- Capture and process daily financial transactions accurately and timeously.
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing financial statements.
- Support monthly and year-end accounting processes.
- Maintain client files, financial documents, and accounting records.
- Work with accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or Xero.
- Provide administrative assistance and client service support.
- Attend SAIPA-accredited training sessions to develop professional accounting skills.
Requirements
- Must be based in Cape Town (Wynberg area) or willing to relocate.
- Completed or currently completing a BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting degree.
- Must have completed or be completing Accounting 3.
- Strong academic record and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
- Good computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Available immediately or within a short notice period.
What the Programme Offers
The SAIPA Learnership provides trainees with hands-on exposure to the accounting and auditing profession under the guidance of experienced professionals. Participants will gain experience across bookkeeping, taxation, financial reporting, and client management, positioning them for full SAIPA membership upon completion of their articles.
