Location and Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate (Std 10) or equivalent.
- 1–2 years’ experience as a General Worker.
- At least 1 year experience in the tourism industry.
- Proficiency in two languages, including English.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices.
- Time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Experience in operating general garden tools and basic machinery.

Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker at Addo Elephant National Park, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for visitors. Key duties include:
- General Cleaning: Maintain terrain, picnic areas, ablution blocks, office buildings, and surrounding areas in accordance with SANParks’ standards.

- Supply Support: Assist with collection and distribution of supplies as required.
- OHS Compliance: Apply Occupational Health and Safety practices consistently, ensuring safety for both staff and visitors.
- Traffic and Visitor Management: Help regulate traffic flow and parking within the park.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Complete additional tasks assigned by the Duty Manager to maintain smooth operations.
