About the Role

  • Notification and Work Order Management: Capture and manage work notifications in SAP, assess urgency, and liaise with supervisors for execution.
  • Resource Coordination: Order and track necessary materials, create purchase requisitions, and ensure communication across Supply Chain and Maintenance teams.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports on callouts, risks, and tasks completed, maintaining full compliance with reporting procedures.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Uphold all safety standards, report lightning deviations, and conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Administrative Support: Manage diaries, process orders, and ensure effective handovers between shifts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements, ensuring alignment with the Anglo American Operating Model (AAOM).

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical qualification.
  • NQF Level 4 in a related engineering or administrative field.
  • Valid South African Driver’s Licence.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a call centre or clerical environment within mining or heavy industry.
  • Solid understanding of SAP systems and the MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of equipment components and functionality.
  • Understanding of supply chain systems, emergency procedures, and OHS standards.
