Skills & Requirements
To be considered for the Welder position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or N3 Technical qualification
- Trade Certificate as a Welder
- Valid South African Driver’s Licence
- Minimum of 2 years of operational experience as a Welder, preferably in a mining or industrial setting
- Knowledge of safety standards, welding techniques, and methodologies
- Familiarity with mining equipment and lock-out procedures
Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of various welding methods, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, will be advantageous. The ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow safety regulations is critical for success in this role.
