About the Role
Motus Ford & Mazda in Kroonstad is seeking a motivated individual for the Apprentice – Level Year 1 position. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in vehicle repair, diagnostic procedures, and maintenance under the supervision of experienced technicians. Apprentices will also fulfill the MerSETA trade requirements, attend technical training courses, and prepare for level tests to progress in their careers.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Learn to operate diagnostic equipment and automotive tools.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Attend scheduled technical and level training courses.
- Prepare thoroughly for level tests to qualify efficiently.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the workshop.
Requirements
- Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Accredited N3 certificate from a recognized college.
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
- Clear criminal record.
- Interest in the automotive industry with basic mechanical knowledge.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
- Physically fit, with good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy work.
