Introduction
Necsa’s Radiation Protection Technician Learnership Programme offers a unique opportunity for young South Africans to gain theoretical and practical skills in radiation protection. Learners will receive on-the-job training within Necsa Group facilities, preparing them for a rewarding career in industries such as nuclear, medical, mining, and construction.
This programme is ideal for candidates aged 18–35 with a strong background in Mathematics and Physical Sciences who are looking to build technical skills in a highly specialized and critical field.
Programme Highlights
- Theoretical and practical On-The-Job Training (OJT) at Necsa Group facilities.
- Exposure to radiation protection monitoring equipment and workplace procedures.
- Learn to assess radiation hazards and contamination in the workplace.
- Training in selecting monitoring equipment based on type, purpose, and location of measurements.

Requirements
- Applicants aged 18–35 years.
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
- Certified copies of RSA ID, Grade 12 certificate, and proof of residence.
- Submission of personal and qualification details on the designated electronic platform.
- Shortlisted candidates must write an aptitude assessment test.
- Must not have participated in previous Necsa Learnerships or Internships.
- Only South African citizens are eligible.
