Job Overview
The Senior BI and Data Engineer will design, implement, and maintain Pedros’ BI infrastructure — from data lakes and warehouses to advanced reporting systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Pedros’ core BI and data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical models.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines using APIs, SQL, and JSON to integrate data across multiple operational systems and digital platforms.
- Support and align departmental KPIs by ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely reporting across all business units.
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making.
- Design and publish interactive BI dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports tailored to executive and departmental users.
- Establish and enforce robust data governance, validation, and sanitization processes to ensure data integrity and trustworthiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps, define KPIs, and optimize data flow across systems.
- Continuously evolve Pedros’ BI landscape, introducing automation and scalable reporting processes as the business expands.

Minimum Requirements
- 8–12 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or related analytics roles.
- At least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity managing full BI project lifecycles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
- Certifications in SQL, BI tools, or data architecture are advantageous.
- Experience in retail, QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), or multi-outlet operational environments preferred.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing BI or data platforms from inception to deployment.
- Advanced SQL proficiency and strong data modelling skills for large, transactional datasets.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data orchestration tools, and API integrations.
- Familiarity with both on-prem and hybrid cloud environments such as Azure or Microsoft Fabric.
- Comprehensive understanding of data governance, validation, and quality control frameworks.
