Skills & Requirements
To qualify for the Senior Artisan position, candidates should meet one of the following qualification options:
- Option 1: Matric, N5 Mechanical Certificate, Trade Test as Fitter or Fitter & Turner, or Millwright Qualification.
- Option 2: Matric, N5 Electrical Certificate, Trade Test as Electrician, and Installation Electrician Certification.
Additional requirements include:
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in the Milling or Production Industry.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and engineering maintenance.
- Valid Code 8 (EB) Driver’s Licence and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Comfort working at heights, confined spaces, shifts, and overtime when required.
- Knowledge of Pragma Onkey 5 (CMMS) systems, inventory management, and engineering best practices.
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems is crucial, including understanding of motors, conveyors, VSDs, drives, and control systems. Familiarity with food safety standards such as FSSC 22000 is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
