Role Overview
The IT Services Specialist: Online Trading supports Sanlam’s online trading platform, providing client IT support, website development, system management, and general administrative assistance. This role is ideal for IT professionals who are highly organized, numerically inclined, and have an interest in finance and stockbroking environments.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service
- Assist clients with account setup, access, and troubleshooting of online trading platforms.
- Reset passwords, provide technical support via phone or email, and conduct end-user training.
- Provide order management advice and act as technical consultant for all online trading clients.
Website Development & Maintenance
- Update website content using FTP and CMS systems.
- Develop new webpages and make changes to existing web content.
- Assist with queries relating to website functionality.
IT Systems Management
- Basic understanding of Microsoft .Net for minor changes or troubleshooting.
- Generate ad hoc reports using SQL and monitor daily data files for portfolio and cash values.
- Manage client access on iTrade, upload corporate actions, and monitor online trading systems.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, test web content, monitor JSE prices, and ensure security compliance.
- Assist internal users with training and ad hoc support.
Administrative Assistance
- Support the admin team when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or industry-related qualification.
- Proficiency in Transact-SQL and exposure to web development/web frameworks.
- JSE Dealers Exam or commitment to obtain.
- Previous IT helpdesk experience is an advantage.
- Fluency in Afrikaans is beneficial.
