Role Overview

The Data Capturer in Gert Sibanda will support the M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) specialist by capturing and consolidating data from facilities and partners. This position ensures accurate and timely reporting of weekly, monthly, and quarterly health data, contributing to better planning and decision-making in the district’s healthcare initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and consolidate facility and partner data accurately.
  • Update databases with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Format and structure data according to project requirements.
  • Maintain registers of data submissions for each facility.
  • Communicate with the M&E specialist and relevant staff if data is missing or delayed.
  • Interact with Department of Health and THC staff to collect and validate information.
  • Assist with filing and other administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification; tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience with TIER.Net software or previous data capturing experience in public health.
  • At least two years’ experience working with DoH data/M&E systems (patient record to DHIS level).
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS programs and public health sector systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and isiXhosa.
  • Clear criminal record.
