About the Role
The Assistant Training Officer – Learners will coordinate and administer the 18.1 and 18.2 Engineering Learnership Program. This position supports HR in recruitment, onboarding, and placement of learners across operations.
This role provides a structured environment to manage learner development while contributing to Glencore Coal SA’s strategic talent objectives.
- Assist in compiling SLP targets for Engineering Learners considering turnover and employment equity.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and induction of learners and practical trainees.
- Manage placement and training schedules at CTC and operational sites.
- Maintain learner records in line with MQA, QCTO, ISO, and company policies.
- Provide accurate progress reports for departmental requirements.
- Review learner feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate the Learnership Program and suggest enhancements.
Who Should Apply
- Individuals with a Grade 12 Certificate and Engineering Trade Certificate.
- Certified Assessors with ETDP accreditation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Artisan.
- MS Office proficient and holder of a Code EB/08 driver’s license.
- Experience in mining industry is an added advantage.
