Job Overview
RCL Foods is hiring a National SHERQ Co-ordinator to join their Centre of Excellence team in Westville. This permanent role reports to the SHE Compliance Manager and focuses on maintaining SHERQ systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SHERQ-related policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure legal compliance with food safety, health, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Analyze and report on health, safety, and environmental performance data.
- Advise departments and staff on SHERQ matters and legal compliance.
- Track external audit findings and report trends to management.
- Conduct internal audits across the company.
- Ensure data accuracy in reporting systems for informed decision-making.
- Deliver training on SHERQ requirements and policies.
- Maintain the RCL online SHEQ system.
- Across all sites, assist and mentor SHEQ Coordinators and Risk Officers.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in FMCG, with 3 years in auditing preferred.
- Diploma in Quality Management, Food Technology, Microbiology, or Environmental Health.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of ISO systems and national legislation.
- Familiarity with plant operations and quality management systems.
- Advanced MS Office and Excel skills.
- Strong auditing, reporting, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
