Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at the point of sale.
- Accurately record transactions on the Dis-Chem system.
- Handle payments, refunds, exchanges and loyalty cards.
- Report any customer issues to supervisors or management.
- Ensure security procedures and cash handling SOPs are followed.
- Maintain a professional attitude and assist customers as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- six months or more of experience as a cashier.
- Basic customer service and numerical skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
Desirable Skills and Advantages
- Third additional language is a plus.
- Emotional intelligence and accountability.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Special Employment Conditions
- Must be physically able to work standing shifts.
- Reliable transport or residence near the store required.
- Clear criminal and credit checks required.
- Must be a South African citizen.
