  IT Intern (Fixed-Term Contract) – ADvTECH Durban North
ADvTECH’s IIE Varsity College, located at the Durban North Campus, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for recent graduates. For candidates who are keen to obtain hands-on experience in the ICT field in the higher education sector, this fixed-term IT internship is perfect.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lecture Room Support
- First line support for computers and lecture venues
 - Daily checks on copiers, printers, projectors, and screens
 - Maintain operational state and neatness of venues
 
Hardware Support
- Assist with desktop and laptop issues
 - Set up printers, projectors, and other peripherals
 
Software Support
- Install and update software
 - Support for Microsoft Office and other tools
 - Manage software licensing and documentation
 
Administration and Documentation
- Log service desk tickets
 - Update hardware/software asset register
 - Analyse copier and telephone usage reports
 
General
- Maintain ICT storeroom and office areas
 - Manage ICT equipment sign-out/in process
 
Development
- Shadow senior ICT staff for learning
 - Troubleshoot server problems
 
Minimum Requirements
- Higher Certificate / Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF 5) / A+ / N certification
 - No prior work experience needed (graduate level)
 
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
