IT Device Administrator – FlySafair (Johannesburg)
Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, is hiring for a permanent IT Device Administrator position at their Head Office in Bonaero Park, Johannesburg.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your IT career in South Africa’s leading aviation company. The successful candidate will support the IT department and report directly to the Manager: IT.
Job Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure devices in line with company IT policies.
- Support all stages of the Mobile Device Lifecycle: deployment, refresh, decommission, and troubleshooting.
- Manage mobile device settings, profiles, and security protocols.
- Install updates, firmware, and patches on all devices.
- Ensure secure decommissioning of devices with data erasure.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and device vulnerabilities.
- Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Enhance device performance and ensure optimal user experience.
- Plan for future device demands and capacity needs.
- Provide end-user support and device-related assistance.
- Maintain clear documentation of IT policies and device procedures.
- Collaborate with teams to support device management.
- Create weekly and monthly reports as required.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
- IT Diploma (Essential).
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar IT support role.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with mobile security best practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of iOS, Android, and basic networking protocols.
- Must be available outside office hours for emergencies or critical issues.
