Job Requirements:
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria in order to be considered for this position:

Education: At least Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an advantage)

Driver’s License: An added advantage

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (must be bilingual)

Ability to follow and execute instructions effectively

Physically fit and capable of performing physical tasks

Hardworking, self-disciplined, and reliable

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in auxiliary services (such as general work, cleaning, handyman duties, or maintenance of halls) within Midvaal Local Municipality or any other local government authority

Residency: Must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality
Job Responsibilities:
As a General Worker in Auxiliary Services, you will be responsible for:

Cleaning offices, bathrooms, stockrooms, and the kitchen, ensuring a clean and healthy working environment for both employees and the public

Serving tea and coffee to visitors in the department
-
Preparing venues for meetings by setting up, cleaning, and putting out refreshments like water decanters and glasses
-
Assisting with general office administration duties when your regular tasks are complete
-
Performing any additional tasks as requested by your supervisor or management
Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range: R151,260.00 p.a. – R165,708.00 p.a. (Level 13 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Total Package: R280,339.52 p.a. (inclusive of all benefits)
