Standard requirements:
- The applicant needs to demonstrate ability in the duties of the position.
 - Should have completed Grade 12.
 - Must be fluent in at least two official languages, including English.
 - Must be a citizen of South Africa or should be a legal South African citizen.
 - Should have no past criminal history or pending charges, or must be free of any criminal record or active legal matters.
 - Basic computer skills or ability to use a computer.
 - Good at working with others, speaking clearly, and staying organized.
 - Ability to think critically, manage yourself, and solve problems or Good at thinking through problems, managing your work, and solving challenges.
 - Skills in analyzing situations, managing your own work, and solving issues.
 - Ability to write reports, give presentations, and develop ideas.
 - Skills in writing reports, presenting, and creating solutions.
 - Applicants will go through a security check, including fingerprinting.
 - Applicants should be ready to travel often, or applicants must be willing to travel a lot.
 - Having completed relevant courses may be an advantage.
 - Tattoos must not be visible while wearing the SAPS uniform.
 - The successful applicant must be willing to travel and attend courses as needed.
 
Extra requirements:
- Applicants must have a 3-year social work degree accredited by SAQA at NQF Level 7 or higher.
 - Applicants must be a registered Social Worker with the SA Council and submit proof of valid registration for the 2024/2025 year.
 - Well-versed in relevant laws and policies.
 - Must be ready to work with a team from different fields and promote social work services; the successful candidate must be willing to travel and take courses as needed.
 - Having experience in facilitation or presentations and in supervision/management is an advantage.
 
Main responsibilities:
- Organize and lead proactive programs for staff.
 - ffer support and therapy to improve staff performance or Offer social work interventions to address and improve personnel performance.
 - Keep management updated on trends that could influence personnel performance.
 - Run projects that encourage a healthy lifestyle for SAPS staff.
 - Administer advanced and detailed Police Social Work assessments focused on work-related issues.
 - Manage the creation and delivery of full occupational social work services through capacity-building programs for clients.
 - Manage the development and delivery of complete occupational social work services using the Social Work Community Model.
 - Manage the development and application of team-based interventions in the Employee Health and Wellness area.
