Job Description Summary:
We have an opening for a skilled Code 14 driver to join our team at the contract site. For further details, check the minimum requirements, duties, and responsibilities outlined below.
 Basic requirements:
- The required education level is Grade 12 or a National Certificate.
 - A current PrDP and a valid Code EC driver’s license are required.
 - Minimum 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
 - At least 3 years of experience with Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles.
 - Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
 - Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
 - Familiarity with reporting emergencies and defects.
 - Ability to perform vehicle inspections and use a fire extinguisher.
 - Capability to maximize vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
 - Skills in vehicle loading and offloading or knowledge of proper loading and offloading techniques.
 - Reliable personal transport to and from work.
 - Clean criminal record or have no criminal record.
 - Physically fit for the role or Must be medically fit.
 
Tasks and Duties:
- Get the vehicle ready for the trip and drive ultra-heavy-duty vehicles or Ensure the vehicle is ready for the journey and drive ultra-heavy-duty vehicles.
 - Handle the loading, transportation, and unloading of vehicles.
 - Manage necessary paperwork and carry out additional tasks.
 - Complete any additional reasonable instructions from the supervisor.
 - Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays or Available to work during shifts, on weekends, and public holidays.
 - A proven safe driving record and a clean criminal background.
 - Take care of the cleanliness of vehicles, uniforms, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
 
Follow SOPs and safety procedures, and successfully complete the following requirements:
- Medical examination OR Health check-up
 - USCS training programs OR USCS training sessions
 - Employee orientation
 - Hands-on driving assessment or Driving skills test
 - Background check for a clean criminal record
