Position Overview
Eskom is offering a Learner Intern Non-Technical SHEQ position for candidates with a strong interest in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality. This internship combines institutionalised training with hands-on, on-the-job experience to develop a strong foundation in SHEQ practices within Eskom’s Generation Division.
The role is designed for graduates of University of Technology programs who are eager to gain practical experience and exposure to operational SHEQ processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured training programs and practical SHEQ projects.
- Assist in safety, health, environmental, and quality initiatives within PTM Operations.
- Support compliance, monitoring, and reporting of SHEQ standards.
- Learn to identify and mitigate operational risks in a large energy-generation environment.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand SHEQ processes in real-world applications.
Minimum Requirements
- Fully completed National Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or Risk Management (NQF 6, 240 credits).
- Must be a South African citizen.
- No prior work experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
