Position Overview
The Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, led by the Presidency, aims to tackle youth unemployment in South Africa by providing work experience opportunities in key industries. Eskom, as part of this initiative, offers young South Africans a chance to gain hands-on experience in administration within the energy sector.
The YES Senior Clerk – General Admin role is a first work experience opportunity for eligible youth, allowing exposure to operational and administrative processes in a large, national energy company.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- Aged 18 to 34 years
- Grade 12 or equivalent, or post-matric certificate/programme/N3 Electrical Engineering
Selection Criteria
- Should not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than 1 year
- Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment
- Should not have participated or registered on the YES initiative before
- Successful applicants will be placed within Eskom operations across divisions
