Position Overview
Camden Power Station is seeking a dedicated Snr Occupational Health Nurse to provide comprehensive occupational and primary health services in line with Eskom health policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational health surveillance programmes based on occupational risk exposure profiles (OREP).
- Prepare and coordinate cases for medical boarding, incapacity, sick leave management, disability assessments in consultation with Eskom OHMP.
- Monitor and refer acute and chronic cases to relevant health and wellness functions.
- Provide advisory, consultative, and specialist functions to all stakeholders.
- Capture and record all health activities on SAP and other systems.

Knowledge Requirements
- Relevant labour and health legislation (e.g., OHSA 85 of 1993)
- Primary health care, occupational health, and wellness programmes
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) compliance
- Medical aid schemes and chronic disease management
- HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis management in the workplace
- Management of wellness service provider contracts and budgets
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- BCur Degree plus Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health OR National Diploma in Nursing plus BTech in Occupational Health at NQF7 with 360 credits
- Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Minimum 4 years of occupational health and primary health care experience
