About the Role
This role is responsible for safeguarding the organisation’s information and cyber security posture. The Security Engineer supports the SOC through threat analysis, incident response, investigations, and awareness initiatives.
The position reports to the Departmental Head: ICT Security and Risk and works closely with internal stakeholders to embed security-by-design across projects.
- Monitor the Security Operations Centre and respond to incidents
- Coordinate cyber incident response and update CSIRP and CMP
- Oversee penetration testing and vulnerability remediation
- Maintain SIEM, XDR and vulnerability management tools
- Develop and manage cyber security awareness programmes
- Review ICT security policies and standards
- Coordinate ITGC governance and audit requests
- Prepare monthly security and threat intelligence reports

Skills and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- CEH, OSCP or CompTIA PenTest+ certification required

- Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, MITRE ATT&CK, COBIT
- Experience with Windows, Red Hat, Debian and Unix platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
