Financial Accountant Job in Pretoria – Green Marble

About the Role
As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing critical aspects of the finance function, including full month-end processes, tax submissions, reporting, and audits. You’ll play a key role in supporting internal stakeholders and driving business performance through accurate financial data and strategic input.
Who Should Apply

- Finance professionals with 3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Experienced in IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting
Minimum Requirements
- CA(SA) or BCom degree with SAIPA/CIMA
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and income tax
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software (Syspro advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work confidentially
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full month-end close process and financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries (accruals, provisions, adjustments)
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Submit VAT, PAYE, and tax returns according to SARS deadlines
- Assist in preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements
- Support internal and external audits and handle queries
- Assist in annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations
- Review and resolve issues in supplier and customer accounts
- Track BEE compliance and scorecard reporting
- Contribute to finance system upgrades and automation
- Ensure compliance with all policies and financial controls
- Communicate financial performance insights to stakeholders
- Maintain payroll reconciliations and journal allocations
- Track project and capital expenditure budgets
- Report to regulatory bodies including SARB and STATS SA
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and reporting tasks
- Act as a super-user for financial systems and provide training
