Purpose of the Job
This position is designed for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a learnership program aimed at attaining artisanship through trade testing. By the end of the program, learners will have the practical skills required to become fully qualified Instrument Mechanicians.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to apply:
- Completed N3 or NCV4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Light Current Instrumentation)
- Subjects at N3 Level: Mathematics, Industrial Electronics, Digital Electronics, Industrial Instrumentation
- Basic understanding of the trade
- Medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR)
Training Programme and Responsibilities
This 42-month learnership program provides structured, practical training under the guidance of the MQA (Mining Qualifications Authority). During the program, you will:
- Gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation.
- Learn how to ensure maximum optimization and minimum downtime of production sections.
- Build a solid foundation for your career as an Instrument Mechanician.
