Join hearX as a Customer Support Agent
Do you have a strong desire to solve problems and assist others? Want to work in the healthcare tech industry, supporting hearing care in the USA—all from South Africa? hearX is hiring Customer Support Agents to join our team in Pretoria.
We’re looking for friendly, motivated people to join our inbound call centre, where you'll support customers using hearing aids and our mobile app.
Working Hours
- Work 4 shifts per week
- Changes from 4 PM to 3 AM (SA Time) to correspond with 9 AM to 8 PM (EST)
- Days: Monday to Sunday
- Hours will shift slightly during daylight savings time
What You’ll Do
You’ll support US customers using our hearing aids and mobile app. Your job is to make sure customers are happy, their devices work well, and they know how to use everything.
Main Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls, emails, texts, and chats
- Help troubleshoot hearing aids and mobile app issues
- Provide friendly and effective support via voice or video calls
- Teach customers how to use their devices and apps
- Forward complex issues to other teams (Lexie Experts, Debtors, etc.)
- Complete CRM tasks and keep accurate customer records
- Upsell or suggest additional products to customers
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Matric (essential)
- Customer Satisfaction Certificate (bonus)
Experience
- 2+ years in customer support or tech troubleshooting
- Call centre or telephonic support experience
- Video call support (bonus)
- Sales experience is a plus
Skills
- Strong English (spoken and written)
- Great communication and typing skills
- CRM software experience
- Good listener with problem-solving skills
- Able to stay calm and help upset customers
