Are you passionate about workplace safety, health, environment, and quality systems? A permanent position is open at Babcock Plant Services for a skilled SHEQ Practitioner based in Jet Park, Gauteng, South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve SHEQ systems and ensure legal compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and RTMS.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks for safety, health, environment, and quality.
- Manage safety files, incident investigations, and reporting processes.
- Train employees on SHEQ procedures and conduct toolbox talks.
- Monitor waste management, recycling, and carbon footprint reports.
- Lead emergency evacuations, ensure proper signage, and maintain first aid readiness.
- Organize and attend internal and client SHEQ audits and meetings.
- Ensure up-to-date legal appointments, PPE compliance, and medical surveillance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or Equivalent
- National Diploma / BTech in Occupational Health & Safety or similar
- 3–5 years’ experience in integrated SHEQ systems and processes
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and legal compliance
- Valid driver’s license
