We are hiring General Workers to support operations at a solar farm in De Aar. Ideal candidates are those living in or near the area. No matric is required, but relevant experience is a plus. This is a great opportunity to join the renewable energy industry and gain hands-on experience.

Job Overview

You will help maintain the site, assist with cable handling, trench digging, and perform general labour duties. You will work under the supervision of the Site Supervisor or Lead Technician.

Working Conditions

  • 44 hours per week (normal time)
  • Weekend work may be required
  • 12 – 24 month contract
  • Work outdoors in all weather
  • May require travel to other solar sites

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and order on-site
  • Follow safety rules and wear PPE
  • Report safety hazards
  • Attend safety meetings and training
  • Assist with trenching, lifting, cable pulling
  • Keep your work area clean and safe

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric not required, but advantageous
  • Previous experience on a solar farm is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
