Job Overview
This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Level 1 Technical Assistant at Nexio’s Network Management Centre in Bellville. You’ll receive full training and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in telecommunications, event & fault management, and incident handling in a 24/7 operations environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network alarms and log incidents promptly.
- Ensure incidents are escalated to the appropriate teams without delay.
- Assist in coordinating field services and update fault tracking systems.
- Manage and close incidents according to fault management procedures.
- Understand and contribute to key performance indicators.
- Respond to voice calls and emails within allocated service times.
Educational and Work Experience Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (Essential)
- Computer Literacy (Essential)
- Basic knowledge of IT or Telecommunications (Advantageous)
- Experience in call center or service desk environments (Advantageous)
- IT or Telecommunications certification (Advantageous)
