2025 Welding Apprenticeship Opportunity – Sasol and PDPS Learnership for South African Youth
Sasol, in partnership with PDPS, is offering a Welding Apprenticeship Programme for passionate, self-motivated, and well-groomed candidates in 2025. This opportunity is targeted at unemployed youth living in Govan Mbeki Municipality, Lekwa Municipality, and Dipaleseng Municipality.
Who Can Apply?
One of the following municipalities must be your permanent home:
- Govan Mbeki Municipality
- Lekwa Municipality
- Dipaleseng Municipality
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Authentic Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- English (able to read and write)
- Pure Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
- Physical Science
Additional Advantages (Not Required but Beneficial)
- Engineering Graphic Design (EGD)
- Technical Subjects
- Welding or Platers Theory
Alternative N3 Qualification Path
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- English
- Engineering Mathematics N3
- Engineering Science N3
- Trade Related Theory (Welding/Platers) – Advantageous
Alternative NCV Level 4 Qualification Path
- English (NCV L4 or First Additional Language NCV L4)
- Pure Mathematics L4
- Engineering Science Subjects:
- Engineering Processes L4
- Professional Engineering Practice L4
- Applied Engineering Technology L4
- Trade Related Theory Subject (Welding or Platers Theory is a must)
