Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to enter the firefighting field. Fidelity Services Group is hiring Junior Firefighters to join their team in Johannesburg, Spartan region. The successful candidate will assist in fire response, emergency services, and equipment maintenance under the supervision of senior officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergencies involving hazardous substances, fires, and rescues.
- Provide basic emergency medical care and resuscitation
- Operate firefighting and breathing apparatus equipment
- Assist with fire prevention and safety inspections
- Participate in drills, training, and physical fitness programs
- Conduct equipment checks and ensure readiness
- Complete incident logs and maintain accurate records
- Advise on fire safety procedures and best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification (IFSAC Accredited)
- At least 2 years of firefighting experience
- Valid driver's license (advanced driving is a plus)
- Clear criminal record and physically fit
- Knowledge of Hazmat procedures and firefighting systems
- EMT certification and First Aid Levels 1–3
- Basic Ambulance Attendant qualification

- Strong understanding of Hazmat guidelines
- Familiarity with security industry practices and conduct
