About the Role
This role focuses on ensuring workplace safety and compliance with health regulations. You'll play a key role in creating a safe work culture by implementing health and safety policies, maintaining project files, and coordinating workplace training and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety systems and procedures
- Compile and manage health and safety files as per client requirements
- Travel to client sites for audits and inspections
- Manage legal workplace appointments and training matrices
- Assist with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 implementation
- Conduct inductions and health and safety training sessions
- Record and follow up on inspection and audit findings
- Support general facility management duties
Who Should Apply
This role is ideal for professionals in health and safety who have experience working on project sites, are confident working independently, and have a strong understanding of compliance systems within a technical or IT environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH IDIP preferred)
- Registered with SACPCMP as a Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO)
- Experience in compiling and managing Gate 1 and Gate 2 safety files
- SETA registered Facilitator/Assessor
- Training in Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment, Fall Protection Plan Development
- Familiarity with Safety360 or similar health and safety platforms
- ISO standards implementation experience
