Do you hold a current SANC registration and are you a qualified nurse? A leading healthcare insurance provider in Johannesburg North is seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse Consultant for a 3-month temporary contract in their call centre division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver cost-effective managed healthcare services with a focus on quality patient care.
- Provide professional call centre assistance to members, resolving queries efficiently.
- Conduct clinical assessments and triage members to suitable care levels.
- Pre-authorise General Practitioner (GP) consultations through clinical evaluations.
- Refer members to network healthcare providers, including Intercare and Pharmacy Nurse Clinics.
- Implement clinical risk management strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Audit GP claims for accurate ICD-10 coding compliance.
- Maintain adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver high customer service standards.
Job Requirements:
- Matric Certificate is required.
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse or Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Active and valid SANC registration.
- 2-3 years of experience in healthcare or managed care settings.
- Strong clinical and risk management knowledge.
- Understanding of South African Health Industry and regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of ICD codes, RPL tariff structures, and modifiers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with members and clinicians.
