Cargo Commercial Vehicles Airport is looking for three passionate and dedicated apprentices to join their Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme in Boksburg. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are eager to gain practical experience and earn a formal trade qualification in the automotive industry.
What the Role Involves
As a Level Year 1 Apprentice, you will report to the Service Manager and work alongside skilled technicians to perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and buses. You’ll use diagnostic equipment, assist with fault-finding, and gain hands-on experience in workshop and field service environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles according to standards
- Use diagnostic tools to assess service requirements
- Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness
- Assist in preparing job cards and documentation
- Attend technical training and support promotional campaigns
- Handle breakdown calls when required
Who Should Apply?
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science)
- N2 Certificate with subjects including Engineering Science, Maths, Technical Drawing, and Diesel Trade Theory
- Alternatively, be a Level 2 Apprentice with Diesel Mechanic trade knowledge
- Driver’s License is an advantage
- Technical workshop experience is an advantage
