RPO Recruitment is looking for an experienced and motivated SHE Specialist to manage health, safety, and environmental operations at a manufacturing facility in Chloorkop, Johannesburg. What the Job Is About
As the SHE Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You’ll oversee site safety behaviour, maintain accurate documentation, lead incident investigations, and contribute to a strong culture of workplace safety.

Skills Requirements
- Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, or Quality Management
- Minimum 5 years of SHE experience in industrial or construction settings
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and/or OHSAS 18001
- Good understanding of the South African OSH Act and related regulations
- Experience in audits, risk assessments, and SHE system implementation
- Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily compliance with OSH Act and ISO 45001 standards
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections
- Lead toolbox talks and monitor daily site safety behaviours
- Review and oversee contractor safety plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation
- Report regularly to management and support SHEQ initiatives
