The learner must sign the 18.2 Learnership Agreement to take part in the program. The agreement will also be registered with the MQA (Mining Qualifications Authority). 

Applicants must be unemployed youth with technical skills and should have the following qualifications to apply:

  1. To apply, you need a Grade 12 certificate with pure mathematics (not Maths literacy), Physical Science, and English, all passed. This job opportunity is great for unemployed youth with technical skills.
  2. An N2 Certificate with four relevant subjects, including Maths, Engineering Science, and two additional subjects required for the trade.
  3. OR You need relevant Engineering NCV Certificates with (7) subjects at Level 4.
  4. Or Grade 11 with subjects Like Maths, Science, Language, and a related trade theory subject for engineering
  5. Or You need an N6 certificate or a National Technical Diploma in T, S, or N stream that is related to trade theory subjects.
  6. Having a valid driver’s license is a plus.
