IT Support Technician Vacancy at IPPO – Centurion, Gauteng (Closing 29 May 2025)

An IT Support Technician is needed for the Independent Power Producer Office (IPPO) in Centurion, Gauteng. About the Company – IPPO
The IPP Office, hosted by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), plays a key role in solving South Africa’s electricity issues by procuring new energy capacity from Independent Power Producers (IPPs). Working with the Department of Electricity and Energy, the IPPO is internationally recognized for its efficiency and expertise in managing complex energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users on hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents on Windows OS and Microsoft tools.
- Maintain IT asset records and manage documentation.
- Configure and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and networks.
- Communicate clearly with users and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure all IT support requests are updated via the service desk system.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- MCSA or equivalent IT certification
- CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+ (Networking is a bonus)
- ITIL Foundation (advantageous)
- 3 years of helpdesk/IT admin experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and LAN/WAN
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
