What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Apprentice in our Engineering and Maintenance department, you’ll play a crucial role in providing administrative and technical support to the team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in several core areas of the department:
- Administrative Support: Raise purchase requisitions (PR) and manage purchase orders (PO), including following up on outstanding POs.
- Job Card Management: Create and close job cards, report any deviations, and ensure job records are up-to-date.
- Document Management: Assist with the filing, scanning, and updating of engineering documents like drawings, manuals, and SOPs.
- Contractor Management: Issue work permits and ensure work areas are tidy and organized.
- Supplier Engagement: Support with obtaining quotes from suppliers when needed.
- Task Support: Assist in the execution of engineering or maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports as required.
- Maintenance Planning: Schedule and plan repairs and maintenance work to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Failure Analysis: Help identify the root causes of equipment failures and suggest improvements.

Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 completion.
- Field of Study: Currently studying or working towards a qualification as an Electrician or Millwright.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience: Some workplace experience is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic learners ready to grow their skills.
