We are looking for a motivated and focused individual to join our team as a CNC Turner Apprentice. This is a structured learnership program designed to teach you both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. You’ll gain hands-on experience and work towards becoming a fully qualified CNC Turner in South Africa’s growing engineering and manufacturing sector.

This is a great opportunity for recent matriculants or technically minded individuals. As an Apprentice Turner, you will:

  • Learn how to operate CNC turning machines

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and complete all theoretical and practical training modules
  • Operate CNC machines under supervision and follow safety procedures
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and shop documents accurately
  • Follow production schedules and meet output goals
  • Keep your workstation clean and organized (5S standard)
  • Record your work hours accurately using Kronos or other systems
  • Report safety, quality, or performance issues promptly
  • Participate in team discussions and continuous improvement efforts

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with:
    • Mathematics (Standard or Higher Grade)
    • Physical Science
  • Trade-related school subjects are a plus
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the machining industry
  • Good attention to detail and a positive attitude
