NOV Gqeberha is offering a structured Welding Apprenticeship for motivated individuals ready to build a long-term career in the metal fabrication and welding industry.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking apprentice who wants to learn and grow into a qualified welder. This is a paid welding apprenticeship offering both practical training and theoretical education.
As part of this program, you'll:
- Train on real projects with experienced professionals
- Attend trade school to learn welding theory
- Work toward becoming a certified welder
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the structured Trainee Welding Operator training plan
- Complete all modules in the welding training program
- Use welding tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions
- Help with manufacturing tasks and welding preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Report any safety or quality issues
- Keep accurate records using company systems like Kronos
- Meet quality standards in all welding work
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with:
- Mathematics (Standard or Higher Grade)
- Physical Science
- Trade-related subjects at school are a plus
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the welding field
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to follow safety and quality standards
