With a completed N6 or diploma in electrical light current, automation, or instrumentation, are you prepared to launch your career in instrumentation? Unilever is offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time Instrumentation Control and Automation Apprentice at their Lords View Factory in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this apprenticeship opportunity in Johannesburg, you must have:
- Matric with Maths and Science
- earned an N6 or diploma in automation, instrumentation, or electrical light current
- 12 months of internship experience
- Academic transcript and qualification certificates
- Copy of your South African ID
Key Responsibilities:
As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on technical experience and learn to:
- Utilise simple computer applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Create maintenance reports and documentation
- Read and update electrical and network drawings
- Support technical project work and R2S Projects
- Assist with breakdown repairs and restoration activities
- Help technicians and artisans on-site
- Develop SOPs, SMPs, and One Point Lessons (OPLs)
- Perform equipment calibration as per Preventive Maintenance Plan (PPM)
- Participate in safety initiatives, audits, and ongoing improvement (SHE programmes)
