Rand Water Procurement Officer NQF Level 5 Learnership – 18 Months (10 Positions)

Rand Water is inviting unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply for the Procurement Officer NQF Level 5 Learnership Programme. This 18-month contract opportunity is open to 10 individuals, including 5 people with disabilities. The programme is designed to equip participants with essential procurement knowledge, practical experience, and workplace-based learning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be unemployed
  • Not enrolled in any other qualification or learnership
  • Must not have a completed post-matric qualification
  • Matric (Grade 12) with English and Mathematical Literacy (minimum Level 4 in both)
  • Must have a SAQA / NLRD verification report
  • must possess a valid ID and be a citizen of South Africa.
  • Age between 18 and 35 years
  • People with disabilities are required to present documentation of their condition, such as an ITRDD13 or a doctor's certificate.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and manage procurement schedules
  • Handle supplier contracts and negotiations

  • Complete assignments and practical projects
  • Write assessments and maintain a practical logbook
