Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Call Centre Assistant at Tekkie Town’s Support Centre in George. This is a temporary 3-month contract role within the Customer Services Team, focused on ensuring high-quality service and support across all stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to complaints from customers and the store by phone, email, mail, or social media.
  • Make calls to customers and stores to verify or obtain information.
  • Perform basic day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Assist with processing orders, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Assist the supervisor of customer services in upholding high standards of service.
  • Accurately file documentation electronically and manually.
  • Prepare data and reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (essential)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Fluency in Xhosa or other African language (advantageous)
  • Professional voice tone on calls
  • Excellent attention to detail
